Formerly known as the Robison Mansion, the Royal Gorge Mansion is nestled in the heart of Cañon City, Colorado. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it was built in the late 1800s in the elegant Second Empire style.
The property boasts 4 acres of manicured, tree-lined grounds for you and your family to enjoy. To experience the grounds you must be a tea or wine tasting guest at the Royal Gorge Mansion.

Served in the luxurious parlors of this grand mansion built by Lyman Robison in 1882, our Afternoon Tea is a special affair you won’t soon forget. This famous Colorado mansion is located just two short blocks away from the train depot, in Canon City, Colorado.
Your Royal Tea Service begins with a glass of champagne to enjoy as you peruse the menu. Every Royal Gorge Mansion tea experience includes your choice of hot tea served in English-style porcelain tea pots, and a three-tiered presentation of dainty and delicious finger sandwiches, petit fours, and house-baked scones served with Devonshire cream, locally sourced jams and whipped butter. A selection of sparkling, red and white wines, homemade hot chocolate, and other sweet & savory goodies are available for purchase to enhance the experience.
Guests will drive themselves directly to the mansion for this experience. Feel free to arrive up to 30 minutes early to experience the manicured grounds and stunning exterior design accents of this historic estate. Note that there is no train ride involved in our Royal Tea Service experience.

Served in the luxurious parlors or outside on the beautifully landscaped grounds of this grand mansion built by Lyman Robison in 1882, our Wine Tastings at the Mansion are a relaxing affair you won’t soon forget. This famous Colorado mansion is located just two short blocks away from the train depot, in Canon City, Colorado.
During your tasting, you’ll enjoy a flight of four, hand-picked and award-winning wines, featuring both old world and new. Sitting on four beautiful acres, complete with outdoor seating, a gorgeous fountain, and shade trees, the Mansion provides the ultimate venue to enjoy a romantic outing, featuring great wine, beer, full-bar, and a delicious, chef-prepared charcuterie.

Note that there is no train ride involved in our Royal Gorge Mansion Wine Tasting experience.
Available for special events on occasion, the mansion accommodates up to 8 adults (age 21 and older) with four private guest suites, and three and a half bathrooms.
The mansion features 4 guest suites, a spectacular dining room, large kitchen, sunroom, two parlors, huge media room, and beautiful veranda, just steps away from the famous fountain which highlights the beautifully preserved 19th century home.
The Royal Gorge Mansion is nestled in a quiet neighborhood on the banks of the Arkansas River and is within walking distance of Cañon City’s historic downtown, restaurants, Happy Endings Caboose Café, two parks, and attractions including the famous Royal Gorge Route Railroad. Explore the hundreds of miles of trails in the area on foot or by mountain bike, or simply relax on your own private veranda to watch the resident deer.
