KKTV reporter Kelsie Ingram joined us aboard the Santa Express Train to experience the holiday magic and see what it takes to bring Colorado’s favorite Christmas ride to life.

Owners Mark and Dawn Greska shared how the Santa Express has grown into a cherished seasonal tradition, with planning beginning as early as January. General Manager Tyler Cornelius offered a behind-the-scenes look at the enormous effort that transforms the train into a glowing holiday wonderland each year.

Guests will find lights running the full length of the train, more than 30,000 lights in Santa’s Village, and our new Aurora Borealis display casting brilliant color across the canyon. Families enjoy festive treats, warm drinks, classic railcar charm, and of course a special visit from Santa as the train travels through the Royal Gorge.
